Lisa Gelley
Hip Hop

Lisa Gelley has been dancing her entire life, on and off the stage. She was born and raised in North Vancouver where she began training from a young age in various studios and institutions including Spotlight Dance Center, Arts Umbrella, and Harbour Dance
Center. Lisa has become a very versatile performer, teacher and choreographer in Ballet, Jazz, Contemporary, Tap, Hip-Hop and many other forms. At 17, she became one of the original members of The Source Dance Company, and also performed with Orca Bay Entertainment and at the Pacific National Exhibition. Since then, her career has flown her across the globe, touring Internationally with Molyneux Entertainment and performing for the Canadian Forces in Bosnia and Afghanistan. Lisa is continuously refining her craft as a dance artist, and has trained and performed during 2005-2006 in Belgium, France and Italy with numerous highly sought-after International Instructors. Recently, at the 2007 Vancouver International Dance Festival, she choreographed and performed in Brock Jellison's world premier of "Ricochet" with Ruckus Dance Company. Lisa is currently working with the 605 Collective, a new and ambitious group of talent who experiment with hip hop in the most unconventional forms. Still, when Lisa isn't onstage or teaching, she remains a constant student of movement. Her love of learning is only paralleled by her ever-growing
love of Dance.
