Julie Martel

Substitute Teacher and Office Staff

Julie has been an active member of the Ottawa dance community for over 25 years. She has studied Jazz, Tap, Ballet, Baton twirling.  She has successfully completed Dance exams with the Canadian Masters of Dance.

Julie has competed across Canada and the United States, winning several group and individual awards.  She has performed for live and studio audiences including the 1988 Grey Cup halftime show. She has taught dance for the last 19 years at professional studios, community centers, in the City of Ottawa and City of  Nepean and for various school boards. Her love for children and teaching has led her to opening her own "Home Daycare" where her teaching skills continue to thrive in various artistic levels.

Her area of study at Algonquin College was in the Child and Youth program.  

Julie is married and is mom to three lovely children.
