Tara began her training at the Pirouette School of dance in Cold Lake, Alberta where she competed in Ballet, Tap and Ukraine dance from the ages of 4 to 9. After moving to Ottawa, she continued her training at a competitive level in Hip Hop, Jazz, Ballet, Musical Theatre, Modern and Lyrical. She has been very successful wining many high score awards for her performances and choreography. Tara has also preformed at events such as Winterlude, Ottawa Dance Night, Tribute to Rock and Roll, Civic Center, Lynx Stadium, Charity Events, and The Santa Claus Parade to name a few. 

 

During her high school years, Tara created a dance program at Elizabeth Park Public School. She completed more than 350 community hours teaching Hop Hip to grades 5 to 8. Over the four years she ran the program "The Dance Club" they preformed at assemblies, Christmas and year end concerts. She put together a drama / dance production and with the help of the Drama teacher took it to the annual Ottawa-Carleton Elementary School Dance Festival and won first place. Since then Tara has choreographed for her high schools musical "Oz" and for an upcoming Ottawa artist. Tara has been teaching classes and workshops for Planet Dance for the past 5 years for various school boards, community groups, and private functions.
